At the end of the episode when Dr. Brennan informs Booth she was pregnant, she really was. This was the way they could write Emily Deschanel's pregnancy into the "Bones" storyline and not have to resort to the antics of past TV shows that would hide pregnancies using props or hiding the actress behind something so the "baby bump" wouldn't show.
这一集末尾（S6E23）Brennan告诉Booth她怀孕了，她是真的怀孕了。这样编剧就可以把Emily怀孕写进剧里，不用像以前的电视剧那样用道具或者把女演员挡住来掩饰怀孕。

Many times in the episode, the new intern Finn Abernathy calls Hodgins "Thurston", while Hodgins calls him "Opie". These names are references to Opie Taylor from The Andy Griffith Show, and Thurston Howell III from Gilligan's Island. Opie is a child who is usually taught a lesson in each episode, sometimes getting into trouble, but always meaning well. Thurston Howell III is a very pretentious millionaire who expects certain standards to be respected even when stranded on an island. Hodgins and Abernathy will later start a business, on the side, together under the name Opie &Thurston.

In the scene in B&Bs' kitchen Bones mentions that Donald Trump was considering running and hints that she thinks that he would make a bad presidential candidate. 3 years later, in 2015, Trump actually decided to run and eventually won in 2016, and as Bones predicted he was a terrible candidate and a worse president.
