“Ricky, baby? Can you come here please?” Taylor yelled for Richard. They were about to tell him he was having a sibling. They weren’t necessarily afraid of telling him but they weren’t sure how he would react.
The sound of feet running down the stairs sounded through the living room, as Adam took hold of Taylor’s hand. His smiley face came into view as he sat down next to them. She put her arms around her son, pulling him closer to her.
“Mommy and daddy have something to tell you, okay?” The little boy nodded, smiling. “You know how Leo has James, right? Like he’s his brother, yeah?” He replied with a simple ‘yes’.
“You’re going to have someone like that too. A baby brother or sister, Ricky.” Adam said, squeezing Taylor’ hand.
“Then where’s the baby?” He asked, confused.
“It’s in mommy’s tummy, love.” Adam replied, pointing to Taylor’s stomach making Richard furrow his eyebrows.
“How did it get there?” He inquired, still trying to make sense of it all before his eyes widened. “Oh my god, mommy did you eat it?” He gasped and his parents laughed.
“No, sweetie. You’ll learn about it when you’re older.” Taylor giggled, shaking her head. “But the baby is only coming in months because it still needs to grow.” She told him. He nodded his head, staying silent before speaking again.
“Can it play with me when it grows?” He asked.
“Yeah, when it’s old enough it can.” Taylor answered smiling. Richard soon had a big grin on his face and they could tell he was happy with having a sibling which they were super relieved about.
“Babe? I’m home.” Adam called out as he closed the door shut, the next day. He had been working in the studio during the morning while Taylor had to go to rehearsals in the afternoon for the tour. The house was quiet, Richard was in school and Taylor hadn’t been doing much the whole morning since she wanted to rest as much as she could.
He didn’t get a response so he wandered to the living room, when he looked out the window to find her sitting on a chair on the porch reading a book. The corner of his lips turned upwards as he noticed how beautiful and adorable she looked with her glasses on. Her beauty was something that always amazed him, especially now as she was with no makeup on. He stood against the window frame, observing her for a while.
“Are you going to keep on staring or are you going to come over here and kiss me?” She smirked, her eyes still on the book as he laughed lightly. He walked over to her, smiling. He bent down and touched her chin making her look at him, he removed her glasses and placed on the table next to the chair. He pressed his lips against her soft ones, both smiling.
“Hello, beautiful.” He grinned, looking into her blue eyes. Their foreheads against one another as they smiled.
“Hi, handsome.” She whispered. “How was your morning?” She questioned.
“It went well. The album is slowly starting to look like something I want to put out. What about yours, love?” He sat down on the chair next to her. The sun against his face, the warm weather was something he’d grown accustomed to, despite being born in slightly cold country. He liked it. Living in LA with the woman who was everything he ever wanted and more.
“I didn’t do much. I’m trying not to do much when I don’t have to just to see if that way I won’t be tired at rehearsal.” She sighed, leaning back against the chair, enjoying the sun.
“I don’t want you to work too much. It could hurt the baby.” He told her, grabbing her hand and kissing it.
“Don’t worry, I won’t. We’ve already talked about me not moving around the stage too much and I’ll speak to everyone on tour so they know what to do, I’ll be fine. I promise.” He nodded and they stayed in silence for a few minutes, enjoying being in the other’s presence. “My parents arrive in LA at around five. I’ll be back by then but if not, you’re here, right?”
“Yeah, I don’t have anything to do.” He informed her, smiling softly. “You’re beautiful.” He whispered, leaning closer to her so he could kiss her cheek.
“Stop.” She pushed his shoulder, playfully unable to stop herself from smiling. “Well, I have to leave soon so I’m going to get ready.” She stood up, kissed his cheek and walked inside. About twenty minutes later she came back out to say goodbye to him and headed to rehearsal. Although she wouldn’t be moving around as much and she would talk to everyone about it, she knew that playing a two hour show would be exhausting, especially now that she was pregnant and it would get worse once she gets bigger.
