months later
“Where’s Ricky?” Karlie asked Taylor, sitting down on the couch with a glass of wine.
“He’s out with Adam. He took him to the studio with him.” Taylor smiled. Adam had convinced Taylor to let Richard go and play with the buttons in the studio with him. This gave Taylor the chance to catch up with Karlie who was finally in town after a month of travelling.
“How have you two been?” She questioned, smirking. She could see that Taylor was significantly happier ever since Adam moved in. Their relationship was going as strong as ever.
“Great. It’s been amazing.” She sighed contently leaning her back on the couch.
“That’s awesome, Tay. How’s my godson?” Richard was Karlie’s godson. He loved her to pieces ever since he was a baby. Karlie had been the one who supported her the most during her pregnancy and the first few years and she decided that there was no doubt in her being Richard’s godmother since she knew Karlie would be an amazing role model for him.
“He’s been so happy because he made new friends in school and he’s been spending so much time with Leo.” She laughed, remembering how many times Leo had been over to her house or she dropped Richard off at Jamie’s. Richard was a social butterfly and he had made a lot of friends. He was like his mom, always nice to everybody. “We took him to Disneyland last month. My god, I haven’t seen such gleeful excitement in someone in a long time. It also helped that Adam acted like a child as well.” She rolled her eyes. She had a hard time figuring out who was more excited, Adam or Richard. He was the one who had the idea of going to Disneyland and after telling Richard they were going Taylor was happy he did.
“I saw the pictures. Not just of Ricky but of you and Adam. You two look very much in love.” Karlie commented, smiling at her best friend.
“Well, we are.” She nodded.

Oh I almost forgot, Gigi was talking to me about the fact that we need a girls’ night. Maybe we could go to that Chinese restaurant we usually go to and invite everyone?” She told her. Taylor hadn’t hung out with her friends as much as she wanted to. She had been so busy with the tour and Richard, she barely had any time.
“Maybe another restaurant, preferably not Chinese. Chinese food has been making me nauseous ever since I had that terrible takeout in Nashville a couple of months ago.” She frowned.
“Yeah, that’s fine.” She nodded. The door opening made them look behind them. Adam and Richard were home. Richard came running when he saw Karlie while Adam kissed Taylor’s lips quickly.

Auntie Karlie!” He yelled, throwing his arms around her. She laughed, hugging him back.
“Hey, kid. I missed you.” She ruffled his hair, grinning at him.
“Not the hair.” He said, fixing his hair. Lately he had an obsession with looking good but he wanted to do it on his own. Taylor and Adam found it quite amusing, laughing quietly when things like that happened.
“Wow, what has gotten into this kid?” Karlie laughed, looking at Taylor.
“You should see him in the morning.” Taylor rolled her eyes. Every morning was like a battle to get him to choose an outfit, Taylor had been making him choose it the night before so she didn’t have to deal with that in the morning. She did not have the patience Adam did in the morning with him. Adam found it funny when it happened and he helped him out.

Mommy, where’s Mere and Dibbles?” Richard asked, curiously looking around.4
“Probably upstairs, sweetie.” He nodded, running up the stairs. Taylor shook her head, before turning her attention to Karlie and Adam. “So what have you been up to, Karls?” She asked her, smiling.
“Been working a lot lately. I’m thinking of maybe taking a break. I’ve been so tired.” Karlie sighed.
“You should. Working as much as you do can’t be healthy.” Taylor noted, resting her back against Adam who was sitting next to her.
“Yeah, I know. What about you? You’re starting tour soon, right?”
“Next month. It’s going to be hard to be away from them.” She answered. Adam rubbed her thigh. He knew this was hard for her. They had talked about how things would work when the tour started. They decided that she would come home every chance she got and they would visit her when Richard didn’t have school. Things would work out. Taylor was positive about it no matter how hard it would be. And she didn’t have as many shows as her other tours, so it wouldn’t be for too long.

“I can imagine that.” Karlie told her, sympathetically. “Hey Adam, you’ve been treating my best friend right?”
“In what way?” Adam smirked, making Taylor slap his arm.
“You idiot.” She shook her head, trying to fight off the smile on her face. “He has been treating me right, though.”
“That’s great to hear, otherwise I’d have to kick your ass.” She joked, pointing her finger at Adam.

Later on, Richard was finally asleep after having been jumping up and down that night. He was playing with Dibbles for about an hour before getting bored and deciding to ask his mom to bake cookies. He helped her along with his dad which ended in a cookie dough fight between all of them. The kitchen was a mess and they were all dirty, but the smiles on their faces made up for it. He was like a little ball of energy. Now Taylor and Adam were in bed, watching a movie, cuddling under the warmth of the covers, as he slept in the room next to them.
“Babe? You’ll never leave me, right?” Taylor gulped, looking up at him. He was smiling softly at her but his face fell when she asked that. He was worried about this.
“Of course not. I love you too much to ever leave. Taylor, where is this coming from?” He asked her, holding her face in both of his hands. He had no idea why she was asking this, as their relationship had shown no signs of ever ending.
“I need to tell you something.” She took a deep breath, bracing herself for what she was about to tell him. She was scared he would leave but a part of her was sure he wouldn’t. She just needed reassurance. She closed her eyes before opening her eyes again to look into his. “I think I’m pregnant.”
“Are you serious?” He breathed out, his eyes wide. She nodded. “Have you taken a test yet?” He asked.
“No.” Her voice was quiet in the room only lit by the TV as he sat up, so he could look into her eyes. “You won’t leave, right? If I really am pregnant?”
“Baby, if you really are pregnant I’ll be super happy. Leaving could never cross my mind. We already have a son so another kid wouldn’t be bad.” He smiled, kissing her cheek. “Do you want me to go buy some test because I’m dying to know right now?”
“Okay, go. Let’s get this over with.” She told him and he pressed his lips to hers before putting a shirt on and walking out the door. She stood in the same place until he came back, thinking. If she was pregnant, things would be complicated. She had a tour coming up and she wasn’t going to keep it from people like she had with Richard. People knew her and Adam were together and they already had a son. She almost sure she was pregnant. She missed her period which never happens, certain foods make her nauseous, she’s been throwing up for the past two weeks, and those were clear signs of pregnancy. She remembered it all too well because this was exactly what it felt like when her first suspicions that she was pregnant with Richard came along. But things were different now, she had Adam and she didn’t want to keep secrets.

About twenty minutes later, Adam came running in with a plastic bag in his hand. She took a deep breath before getting up. She kissed his cheek and took the bag from his hand. Taking steps towards the bathroom, she tried to control her breathing. She wasn’t sure how she felt about this yet. She felt excitement but she was also scared. Scared because of the consequences it would bring. She took the three tests he had bought and sat on the toilet, with all three of them laid out on the counter. She set the timer on her phone and stood up, opening the door so Adam could come in. They both sat on the edge of the bathtub, their hands intertwined as they waited for what felt like forever but was in reality three minutes. Taylor could her heart beating out of her as she took deep breaths. They stayed in silence until the alarm went off, making them both jump.
“I can’t look. Do it for me.” She buried her face in his shoulder as he took a step towards the counter. He picked up one of the pregnancy test. The answer was clearly there, a huge smile forming on his face. She was pregnant, all those tests said the same. They were going to have another baby.

“We’re having baby, Taylor.” He grinned at her when she lifted her head up to look at him. “You’re pregnant, love.” He laughed. Her eyes filled with tears, as she realized there was a tiny human growing inside of her. He held her tight against him as she cried, even he was about to cry. He hadn’t been able to witness her pregnancy with Richard and now he would be there every step of the way.
“A baby. Another baby.” She whispered, against his chest. She felt him pull away and kneel down in front of her. He lifted her shirt up to see her still flat belly before planting a kiss on top of it.
“Hi, baby. I’m your daddy and I can’t wait for you to get here.” He laughed, standing up and wrapping his arms around her, spinning her around as she giggled. “We’re having a baby, my love.”
“We are. Another mini you or me. Hopefully a mini me so our family can be balanced out.” She laughed, kissing his lips. “I love you so much.” She murmured.
“I love you more and I love our family.” He smiled.

Chapter13

“Babe, you need to go pick up Richard.” Taylor whispered as Adam pressed wet kisses to her neck. He didn’t stop kissing her skin. “I’m serious. As much as I love this, you need to go.” She laughed. He lifted his head up, smiling at her before kissing her lips. He stood up from the couch.
“I love you.” He smiled before walking away.
It had been about a week since they found out they were having another baby. They were excited about it. It would be hard for them, especially since Taylor is going on tour in a couple of weeks but they decided that she would do it, up until the doctor said she couldn’t anymore. As much as Adam begged her to cancel tour, she couldn’t do that to her fans, they were waiting on her. She couldn’t disappoint them and she was still early on the pregnancy so it would be a few months until she began to grow. She had never seen such excitement in Adam before. She knew he was happy he would get to see it all and be with this kid ever since it was born. He didn’t get to do that with Richard so she understood the reason of his excitement. Even though she was pretty worried about everything, she was happy with having another kid. She had always wanted to have a family, she already has a son and now there’s a baby on the way.

She sat up straight and turned on the TV, not really paying attention to it. She was thinking about all that this pregnancy would bring. It made her giddy to think about what it would look like. Would it be a boy or a girl? Would it look like her or Adam? She had a particular fascination with thinking about that and knowing she would only find out in months. It was lovely to think about the fact that this time; she would have him by her side through everything. He was there and he wasn’t leaving.
“Ricky, slow down, you’re going to fall.” She heard Adam’s voice warn Richard as he ran to the living room.
“Hi, mommy.” He grinned, ignoring his dad and jumping onto the couch.
“Hey, baby. How was your day?” She asked, kissing his cheek.
“Good. I can count to thirty, mommy. Want to see?” He questioned excitedly. She nodded her head and began to count to thirty. When he was done, she clapped her hands while Adam stood against the door frame, smiling at them.
“That’s amazing, sweetie.” She hugged him, kissing his forehead.
“I’m going to play in my room.” Richard announced, running up the stairs which caused yet another warning from Adam telling him not to run. Richard was always running everywhere and he never slowed down so ever since last week, when he was running outside and fell down, Taylor and Adam were constantly telling him to slow down but he just wouldn’t listen, it was like he was on a rush to everywhere.

The next morning, Taylor woke up and took Richard to school since Adam had a meeting. They would meet at eleven so they could go the ultrasound. Taylor could barely contain her excitement about it, she knew Adam was impatiently waiting for that meeting to be over and so was she. She would hear her baby’s heartbeat and the first images to prove that it existed.
“Hey you up for breakfast with me?” Karlie asked Taylor when she picked up the phone.
“I can’t. I have a doctor’s appointment.” She told her, standing up for the couch to get her purse as Adam was about to get home from his meeting.
“What for? Is something wrong with you?” Karlie questioned, worriedly.

“No. I’m just going to check up on the baby.” She blurted out without thinking. Shit, she thought. She wasn’t supposed to tell her yet. She wanted to tell her in person without having to do it over the phone.
“Holy shit! He got you pregnant again?!” She yelled into the phone before squealing. “Why didn’t you tell me? Damn, that guy has very efficient sperm.” She laughed loudly making Taylor join her. “This is so cool, Tay.” KK的话简直笑炸
