I've been getting questions on my thoughts regarding the murder of p0rn producer/director Bryan Kocis.

As many of you know, Bryan was engaged in a prolonged legal dispute with Sean Lockhart, an actor who appeared in a movie I directed in December. This lawsuit has led to widespread speculation that somehow Sean (or an associate) was involved in Bryan's murder.

During the week or so I spent with Sean I found him to be a warm, honest, and genuine guy. I consider him a friend and we've been very-much in contact since the film shoot. The idea that he'd be involved in something like this doesn't seem grounded in any reality.

So I did, I formed BrentCorriganInc.com with Grant (my other business partner). The new website will have more free components to it and will give people who are interested a chance to get better acquainted with what I’m all about and what I’m trying to accomplish that sets be apart from the rest of the adult industry.

Ryan: Lets chat about politics for a bit. What are your feelings on California Ballot Initiative Prop 8?

Brent Corrigan: Vote NO on proposition 8, of course. I’ve spent a few days out there working to get people to sign the petition opposing the ballot initiative. California Supreme Court granted us the right to marry here in this state, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still lose it forever. This is an ongoing fight.

I asked him about his professional arrangement with Dink Flamingo. [Note: Dink’s Active Duty Studio has showcased the аmаteur military guy genre for many years – he started Dirty Bird recently to give young directors the opportunity to showcase their talents and to expand into plot driven films both with his Active Duty men and guest stars – Brent’s Prodigy Pictures is the video production arm of Brent Corrigan Inc.] He said that Dink is giving him the resources and time to incubate his own studio, to nurse it along while it develops creatively and business-wise. Dink provides help financially, with casting, and in other ways, so that Prodigy can evolve without the pressure of a start-up on its own. Brent currently has a couple of plots in the works for future films.

I next asked Brent about casting and how he chooses his co-stars. Again he has been happy to work with Dink and have his pick of Active Duty models. [Damn, I forgot to ask him about his dazzling co-star Kaden Saylor - aka Active Duty's Kaden - in Dirty Bird’s The P0rne Ultimatum.] And he said that surprisingly (or not), casting is very hard work and an important process. I told him he had starred with a couple of my favorites in his directorial debut films, Mason Wyler in Brent Corrigan’s Summit, and Kurt Wild in Just The Sex. His eyes brightened when I mentioned the latter. He said Kurt was one of his favorite co-stars, and among the hardest working he’s know as well, despite some issues that surround him.
Lastly, I asked Brent if he saw himself re-inventing in the future, a la Madonna. He chuckled. He wants to keep improving his body of course. But he’s not sure he’ll still be in the adult industry in a few years – but hopefully going on to bigger things, expanding his horizons. He’d certainly be a gay p0rn veteran by then.

Q:What do you enjoy about working in the adult film industry?

B:ah,you know the good things about it is,ah,you know its kind of a round about way becoming...getting some attention,being a little bit of gay celebrity,gaylebrity if you will.There's that but then also honestly its very open ,its very liberal way .[the comunity and if you live yourself in kind of an alternative or conduct yourself all alternatively.its a great school thought.honestly if you`re comfortble and you're safe]to me,i think its ,that is big perk as well.for the most part its getting down,getting crazy and having fun,under safe circumstance,you know just taking care of your shit,that's really all it's about for me.so.

B:i hate to say it,but it seems like DVDs are almost being phased out entirly.but right now with the recession.i think that is going to play kind of a bigger role than a lot of people want to believe,you know,big productions,plot feature something 70000dollars 100000dollars rather into adult film is not very cost effective,or you know, its not very safe gamble right now.if you could say that. so i think you are going to see a lot more returned (its loud out there.)a lot of returning to what adult works are really about just the sex which is a series i do as well.i think that from what i do,i found my niche in reality based work which is great way to show three demensional quality models who have lives, who go to school,   who are violinist, who are chemist, who are horse back rides,who are athlets and just want to have,you know just want to get a little bit of crazy .so i think you are going to see a lot more.a well rounded model I think, I hope, i hope to see more these models be more approchable and i hope to see these models getting out there and advocating safe sex, because that is a really big part of our community that we need to do more on each and every one of us. So, but where is it going? I think extreme is doing pretty good, you've got to give Ad a good nod, you know p0rnotube but at the end of the day, you know, it the producers who are really making it and I don't think they are really going anywhere.

BC: It's fascinating because what he does and how he does it in the industry is almost polar opposite to what I do. That doesn't mean one is right and one is wrong. I do things the way I do them because it's what keeps me in the industry and keeps me stimulated. He does what he does for the same exact reason. But what we do and how we do it is the variable.
有趣的是他在业界所做的内容和方式正好和我相反，这不是说谁对谁错。我用自己的方式去做事因为这样能让我在这个行业继续下去，让我保持激丨情。他用他的方式去做也是因为同样的原因。但我们的内容和方式是多样化的。
ZS: It sounds like that balance works, and it's evident in the finished product. I just watched P0rne Identity (again).

BC: It has worked out very well so far. But I don't expect it to be the bottom line for me when it comes to production. We have an agreement, but there is no exclusivity there, and there will come a time when I have work aside from what I do with him. Hey, I haven't even seen P0rne Identity!

But the p0rn atmosphere makes that very difficult. There is a casualty to it that makes it hard to take it seriously.

BC: The gym is tough.   As I get older, I realize I need more of it. I used to be so lean I could just flex my abs and they were there. I'm at 150 lbs, 5'7. I've put on a lot of muscle for my size, but I have done it steadily. I just had my body mass index done and I carry a lot of water weight just under my skin on top of my muscle, which means unfortunately as I get older it will be harder to keep that 'toned' look that I was known for in years past.

I work out every part of my body, even my legs and butt despite a bad leg injury a few years back (my knee swells on the right side if I don't watch it). I can't dance because of it all. Which is why when you see me "appear" people say I can't dance well. I don't dance for fun any more, so I never get practice. I am going to be dancing less and less for appearances. It's just not worth it anymore. I have a better time meeting the fans and talking to them than taking their $1, anyway.

BC: I actually deal with this on a regular basis. Come on, I'm not Meryl fuсking Streep! I have to introduce myself all the time. It usually depends on the scenario.   Depending on what is going on, I am not always up front about my adult work.

However, if I meet someone at a party, I just say my name is Sean and that I own my own adult production studio. I also say I do some work in front of the camera. I never play myself up, and I just keep it aѕ brief as possible. If they are curious to know about it, the rest comes out in conversation.

People really appreciate modesty, especially from those they don't expect it from. If they confront me and say something like, "Aren't you Brent Corrigan?" I smile and oblige. I don't deny it, but often times I will omit it because I am out to be an average person. I don't go out for the attention; I go out to be a regular human being like everyone else.
