TROPICAL CYCLONE INFORMATION BULLETIN
Issued at 2:48 pm WST on Sunday 23 February 2025
Tropical Low 21U was located at 2:00 pm AWST near 16.4S 107.2E, that is 950 km
northwest of Exmouth and 680 km south southeast of Christmas Island and moving
west southwest at 21 kilometres per hour.
Tropical Low 21U is located in the Indian Ocean well to the northwest of
Exmouth and is moving towards the west southwest. It is expected to strengthen
slowly tonight, possibly reaching tropical cyclone strength later tonight but
more likely during Monday. On Monday and Tuesday is forecast to move to the
south southwest, remaining well offshore from the Western Australian coast. On
Wednesday it is expected to start weakening.
No direct impacts are expected at any Australian mainland or Island communities.
The next Information Bulletin will be issued at 9:00 pm AWST Sunday 23 February.
