S03E03 Sometimes a Fantasy
Surgeons usually fantasia about wild in improbable surgeries.Someone collapses in the restaurant,we splice them open with a butter knife.replace a valve with a hollow valve secret carret.But every now and then,some other kind of fantacy slips in.Most of our fantacies disslove when we wake,banished into the back of our mind.But sometimes ,we are sure,If we try hard enough,we can live the dream. 外科医生们总是会幻想那些疯狂的不切实际的手术。有人在餐厅摔倒了，我们用牛油刀剖腹，用胡萝卜做瓣膜置换手术。但是总有一些其他幻想会闯入脑中。大部分的幻想在我们醒了之后就销声匿迹，被我们抛之脑后。但是有时，我们很确定，如果我们再努力一点，我们就可以实现我们的幻想。 The fantacy is simple.Pleasure is good and twice as much pleasure is better.That pain is bad and no pain is better.But the reality is different.The reality is that the pain is there to tell us something.And there only so much pleasure we can take without getting stomache.And maybe that’s OK.Maybe some fantacies are only supposed to live in our dreams. 幻想很简单，快乐是美好的。痛苦是糟糕的，没有痛苦好些。但是事实却大不相同，事实是痛苦在那儿是要告诉我们一些道理的，除了得胃痛我们仍然还能有许多快乐。也许那没什么，也许幻想只该留在我们梦里。

S03E04 What I Am
At some point during surgical residency, most interns get a sense of who they are as doctors, and the kind of surgeons they are going to become.if you ask them,they will tell you.they are going to be General surgeons, Orthopedist surgeons, Neurosurgeons, distinctions which do more than describe their areas specificities .they help defined who they are,because outside the operating room, not only most surgeons have no idea of who they are,they are afraid to find out. 从某种意义上来说，在外科实习期间，大部分实习医生都会了解到他们将会成为什么样的医生，他们会选哪一科。如果你去问他们，他们会告诉你，他们将会成为普外科医生，儿童外科医生，神经科医生，这其间的区别更加体现了他们领域的特殊性。这帮助他们定义自己，因为一旦出了手术室，大多数医生不仅完全不了解他们到底是谁，更不愿意找出答案。

S03E05 Oh, the Guilt
First,do no harm.As doctors,we pludged to live by this oath.But harm happens,and then guilt happens,and there is no oath for how to deal with that.Guilt never goes anywhere on its own.It brings its friends ,doubt and insecurity. 首要原则，不要造成伤害。作为医生，我们保证以此誓言为生。但是伤害常常发生，接着就会内疚，不过没有誓言教我们如何解决这个问题。内疚是绝不会自己走的,它带给它的朋友们怀疑和不安。 First,do no harm. easier said than done,We can take all the oaths in the world,but the fact is， most of us,do harm all the time. Sometimes even when we are trying to help, we do more harm than good. And then the guilt rears where ugly head, what you do with that guilt, is up to you. We are left to the choice, either let the guilt throw you back into the behaviour that got you into trouble in the first place. Or learn from the guilt and do your best to move on. 首要原则，不要造成伤害。说起来容易做起来难。我们对世界承诺各种誓言，但是事实上，大多数人，一直都在造成伤害。甚至有些时候我们试图帮忙，却只会造成更大的伤害，然后负罪感又会出现。如何应对我们的负罪感，其实完全取决于自己。我们可以选择，或者让负罪感把我们重新带回让我们最初陷入麻烦的行为中去，或者，从负罪感中学习，尽自己努力向前看。
