The song playing from the speakers was one of Ed’s song, one of Taylor’s favorites, ‘Tenerife sea’. She grinned at him when it started playing.
“Can I have this dance my love?” He offered his hand which she took and they slow danced. Her face on his shoulder, her arms around his neck as his hands went to her waist, their babies in the middle of them. “They’re coming soon. Can you believe that?” He said, moving his hand so he was touching her stomach.
“I know. Soon we won’t sleep and we’ll have crying babies in the house. It’ll be fun, huh?” She raised an eyebrow before laughing. “I can’t wait for them to be here although I am so not looking forward to the labor.”
“You’ve done it once, you can do it again.” He smiled, kissing her forehead.
“Yeah, except this time it’ll be two babies in one day or in minutes.” She shook her head. “But it’ll be worth it.”
“If we end up with more kids, we’ll have to buy a new car, but like a minivan, because we won’t have space.” He cackled, throwing his head back.
“Relax, big boy. I’m about to push two babies out of my vagina, I’m not getting pregnant again anytime soon.” She patted his chest, her ring glistening in the moon light as his laughter made her smile.
“You’re right but with us you never know. I mean we didn’t plan Richard or these babies.” He pointed out, while she rolled her eyes. “You know, I always imagined our future but this is beyond my wildest dreams. No pun intended.” He told her, kissing her lips.

“I’m really happy that it turned out this way. If you weren’t in Nashville in that café, we wouldn’t be here and I’ve never been so glad that Richard is such a clumsy kid. He wasn’t looking and he bumped into you. I’m just so glad he did.” She giggled, her head on his chest as she listened to his steady heartbeat.
“He’s clumsy like his mum.” He teased her making her slap his stomach playfully. “Also amazing like his mum.”
“Handsome like his dad as well. I can’t wait to see what these babies are like.” He pulled her a little closer to him.
“I bet they’ll be beautiful and smart like you.” He spoke softly, swaying their bodies to the song, the sound of the waves crashing in the background as the soft breeze blew. “Taylor?” He called out after the song ended.
“Yeah?” She murmured against his neck.
“We’ll be together, right? Forever and always?” He whispered.
“Random but yes.” She giggled. “Forever and Always.”

Chapter20

Adam woke up to Taylor tossing and turning. He heard her sigh, he knew she had trouble sleeping. Now that she was closer to her due date, it was harder to get comfortable in bed. She was weeks away from having the babies but the doctor told her they could come sooner so she was ready for anything.
“Babe?” He murmured, turning so he was facing her. “Are you okay?” He questioned even though he knew she wasn’t.
“They’re kicking a lot. They seem to enjoy kicking my ribs.” She groaned, laying back, a hand on her stomach. The babies’ kicks were a lot more now and she knew it would get harder as more time passed. She remembered when they first kicked, Adam and Taylor was super excited but that excitement for Taylor was just in the first month. They were on the couch watching a movie when they kicked, Adam had cried and Taylor made fun of him, although she was a bit emotional herself.

“I’m sorry, love.” He frowned and rested his hand on her bump. He moved himself so he face to face with her stomach, smiling. “Hi, babies. Your mommy wants to sleep so if could you stop kicking her, that’d be awesome. Don’t worry though, soon you’ll both be here and you can kick all you want just not now. We love you very much and we can’t wait for you come.” He whispered, rubbing her stomach as she smiled, despite the fact that she was in pain. “I think they stopped.”
“They like daddy’s voice.” She spoke, placing her hand on top of his, which was on her stomach. Taylor closed her eyes, tiredness overcoming her and soon she was asleep.
“Thank you for stopping, babies.” He grinned, shaking his head. “You know I can’t wait for you guys to get here. I promise I’ll be there for you, always. You’re going to love your mum, kids. She’s the most amazing woman you’ll ever meet, whether that’s on stage or right here. She’ll be the most incredible mum to you two. She’s better than I’ll ever be, but I’ll try. I’ll protect you no matter what and maybe I’ll give you cookies when your mum says no, like I do with your brother but don’t tell her.” He laughed softly. Taylor was sleeping peacefully and there he was talking to the babies that would be born soon. He did it every few nights, he loved talking about it. All he didn’t do with Richard, he was doing it with them. “Well, goodnight and please don’t wake your mum up, she needs sleep.” He pressed a kiss to her stomach before lying back against the bed and falling asleep.

Little hands on his face woke him up. He smiled instantly, knowing it was his son. He heard his giggles and peeled his eyes open to see the green eyed little boy sitting on his stomach.
“What is this monkey doing here?” He laughed, lightly and tickling his belly making his giggles sound through the bedroom. He looked to his side, to find Taylor sleeping peacefully beside him. “Come on, let’s go downstairs so we don’t wake mommy.” He told him, taking him in his arms and walking out the door and downstairs.
“Daddy?” Richard called out as they were walking down the stairs.
“Yeah, buddy?” He replied.
“When the babies come, will you love them more than you love me?” He asked, resting his head on his dad’s shoulder. Adam’s eyes widened at his question.
“Of course not, buddy. We’ll love you all the same.” He kissed his forehead, sitting down on the couch, pulling to his chest. “And we’re going to need your help with them, you know? Do you think you can do that, huh? They’re really little and you have to protect them to you because you’re their big brother.” He nudged him, smiling softly.
“Like a superhero?” He lifted his head up to look at him, his green eyes sparkling as a small grin began to appear on his face.
“Yeah, like a superhero, little man.” He told him, laughing a little.
“Do I get to wear a cape?” He questioned his dad.
“If you want to maybe but we should probably talk to your mom about that.” Adam stated.
“Talk to mom about what?” Taylor’s voice came from the other side of the room, making their head snap up at her. Richard jumped from Adam’s arms and ran over to where is mom was, smiling at her.

“Daddy told me that I had to protect the babies when they come like a superhero, mommy. So if I’m like a superhero can I wear a cape?” He inquired looking up at her.
“Mmm, maybe but do you know what else a superhero needs? Breakfast.” She laughed.
“Let’s go out for breakfast, babe.” He smiled at her, standing up and going over to her, kissing her lips. “Go get dressed, buddy.” He told Richard up and he ran up the stairs. He took Taylor’s hand, helping her climb up the stairs since it was getting harder for her to move. He considered moving all their stuff to one of the guest bedroom downstairs so it made it easier on her, especially now being closer to having the babies.
“Okay, so you’re telling me that Hawkeye is cooler than Superman?” Adam raised an eyebrow at Ricky. They were eating pancakes for breakfast, Richard’s request.
“Yes, daddy! He can shoot arrows and he’s doesn’t have any superpowers which means that if I trained like he did, I could be like him.” He explained as Taylor and Adam looked amused. This kid could go on and on with talking about superheroes. They wouldn’t trade it for nothing though, they loved hearing him get so excited about it.
“Superman can fly though and shoot lasers from his eyes, Ricky.” He replied.
“But I’d have to be born with those powers and I didn’t so I can be Hawkeye not Superman.” He sighed, taking a bite of his pancake.
“Maybe you’re right, kid.” Adam laughed before looking over to Taylor who had a pained expression on her face. “Are you okay, babe?” He questioned, worry taking over him as he looked at the woman he loved in pain.
“Yeah, don’t worry. They’re just kicking a lot lately.” She sighed, sitting back against her chair. “Right now I’m actually looking forward to getting them out of here.” She huffed when she felt another kick.
“Mommy, can I feel it?” Richard asked her, smiling cutely. Ever since the babies started kicking, Richard would put his hand on her belly, he seemed to love doing that and kissing her stomach. They thought it was the cutest thing ever.
“Sure, sweetie. Here.” She took his hand and placed it where she felt their kicks. Richard giggled, making her smile a little.
“It’s still weird.” He pointed out still giggling.

Later, in the afternoon. Taylor was in the kitchen getting something to eat while Adam and Richard were playing video games.
“Mommy, can you get me juice, please?” Richard yelled out from the living room.
“Yeah, sure kid.” She said walking over to the fridge to get his juice. She walked to the living room, sitting down next to Adam and handing Richard his juice before sitting back and eating her ice cream. After a few minute, her eyes widened and she gripped Adam’s thigh.
“Ow, Tay. That hurt.” He winced, glancing at her quickly, when he noticed her face. “Taylor, is something wrong?” He questioned, pausing the game.
“The babies are coming.” She whispered, looking down at her pants as his breath caught in his throat.
“Like, right now?” He asked her his eyes wide.
“Yes, right now.” She yelled, taking a deep breath. He froze for a few seconds. “Go get the bag and pants for me, call Jaime, we’ll stop there on the way to the hospital to drop Richard off.” She ordered, seeing as he was panicking. “Ricky, put your shoes on, love and go get some of your toys, quickly please.” She smiled softly at her son, as Adam ran up the stairs and so did Richard. When Adam came down, she looked at the bag in his hand and groaned, before getting the pants he had gotten her. “Not that bag, you idiot.” She told him and he ran off again. Richard climbed down the stairs and sat down on the couch, next to his mom.
“Are the babies coming, mommy?” Richard grinned, not really understanding what was going on.
“Yeah, baby. By tonight you’ll probably have a baby brother and sister.” She smiled at him, when she saw Adam with the right bag, she sighed in relief. “Okay, let’s go.” Adam helped her get to the car. They drove by Jamie’s place, Adam rang the doorbell and she opened up smiling.
“Good luck!” She told Adam, smiling at Taylor, as he ran over to the car.
“Thank you!” He said before closing the door and driving off. “Let’s go have our babies!” Adam grinned, nervously as she held his hand in a tight grip.
