AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - Some of county music’s biggest stars will perform at Jordan-Hare Stadium this spring.
The Chicken Salad Chick Foundation announced Wednesday that Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion will headline the new Music and Miracles Superfest in Auburn on April 23, 2016.
The goal of the festival is the raise $1 million to help those suffering from food insecurity and those fighting cancer, according to the foundation.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The legendary Johnny Cash along with Miranda Lambert, Steve Cropper, and E.W. “Bud” Wendell will all receive stars on the Music City Walk of Fame.
The induction ceremony will be held on Oct. 6, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Walk of Fame Park.
“These inductees to the Music City Walk of Fame represent the best of Nashville’s music industry, from the gritty and soulful guitar work of Steve Cropper to Miranda Lambert’s powerful singing and songwriting and Bud Wendell’s visionary leadership of the Grand Ole Opry and Gaylord Entertainment,” Mayor Karl Dean said.
He added, “And of course Johnny Cash was and still is nothing short of an icon, one of the very finest artists ever to grace our city’s studios and stages. The city of Nashville is proud and honored to be able to recognize each of them for their many accomplishments.”
These stars will be the 67th, 68th, 69th and 70th stars, following the induction last week of award-winning recording artists Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks.
Inductees are recognized for their significant contributions to preserving the musical heritage of Nashville and for contributing to the world through song or other industry collaboration.
Thank you so much to the City of Nashville and Music City Walk of Fame for this honor and privilege. I am proud to join a heritage of other female inductees, such as Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McEntire, Emmylou Harris and Martina McBride. Records/Warner Music Nashville album, Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits, due October 23. The package chronicles Shelton’s amazing run of hits in his 15-year career, from early cuts like “Austin” and “Some Beach” to his latest No. 1 hit, “Sangria.” His current Top 20 single “Gonna” is climbing the charts now.
Fans can hear some of those hits at Warner Music Nashville’s Pickin’ on the Patio where the summer tradition, featuring WMN and Word label artists, continually fills the patio to capacity with friends and fans alike. Attendees will have the opportunity to see Shelton in a once-in-a-lifetime setting on Music Row. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Because of expected crowd sizes, organizers suggest fans take taxis, Uber and Lyft rides into the area. Special thanks to our sponsors Aramark and Bud Light.
