buttheads: So yesterday we staged doored for the second time! This was when I planned to say all that I wanted to, because the day before I was literally so taken aback that I could barely tell him how great he was in the show. So today Darren was moving back forth across the crowd to make sure he got to everyone. I called over to him and he looked at me and then I stumbled over my words so baD. He could tell how nervous I was so he GRABBED my shoulders and looked at me so I knew he was there and this was real. I was finally able to say how happy it makes me to support him and he had the biggest smile and said “IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY TOO!!”. Then I thanked him for introducing me to my best friends. He thanked me one more time and held my hand and said goodbye. Then I basically lost it omG. Darren was so incredibly nice to me and everyone else and I’m so happy I got my moment.
CharlieMoreno: Darren thank you so much for being kind and gracious at dinner tonight at Trattoria Dell'arte and allowing me to take a picture with you. I’m truly a big fan. I was fortunate too see HEDWIG and the ANGY INCH last night. You were absolutely FABULOUS. This has been a great trip to NYC. Thanks for the wonderful memories.
"You would think that. And while I don’t want to want to dispel people’s sense of wonder at that, it’s the least of my problems, because those boots are custom-made. And they’re also not typical women’s heels. They are exaggerated, and they’re built for my feet. Any margin of discomfort that you could imagine has been eliminated. If I put on a pair of these beautiful Louboutins that these women are wearing here tonight. I’d be screwed — my legs would buckle and my feet would break." — Darren Criss when asked if he struggled to learn to stay on his feet while wearing Hedwig’s heels. (Source)
"Our grosses have been building each week with Darren. And it’s a really tough time of year, because people are focused on the new shows, and there are a lot right now. I’m looking forward to the summer, and people coming back to New York for trips and vacations." — David Binder, producer of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” on Broadway. (Source)
