I finally got to thank Darren Criss for everything he has done for me on my journey to self acceptance. The day after he appeared on Glee as Blaine, I came out to my best friend. I’ve grown up a lot since, and I’ve come out 100%. I got to meet the man who gave me hope when I was 16 years deep in self hate. Dreams do come true. It does get better. Keep fighting. I promise it’s going to be okay.

OKAY SO I SAW HEDWIG AGAIN TONIGHT
First off, I’d like to shoutout to the lovely lovely girls who I met at the lottery who offered me one of their tickets after they both won and I didn’t! It always pays to makes friends! Thank you!
Secondly, let’s talk about this show. More specifically, let’s talk about how much Darren has grown into the role, because oh my damn has that boy improved from opening night. I mean, he was already fabulous then, but you can just tell how much more comfortable he’s becoming! One thing I did notice was that he played Hedwig as very angry, something I didn’t see opening night. It was interesting and different and I wonder if it was a tonight thing or something he’s been sticking with. Also Origins of Love tonight was actually OUT OF THIS WORLD. From the first note to the last, that boy was on top of his shit and I couldn’t help but cry! The best part of this performance, though, was probably when Hedwig was fishing for compliments about her hair, someone shouted out “TOTALLY AWESOME” and Darren ran with it and just kept saying totally awesome. It was all the more special because Dylan Saunders and Clark Baxtresser were in the audience! When I met him at the stage door, I told him that I was celebrating the end of finals and that started him off on a rant about how much he doesn’t miss school work and how glad he is to be done with exams and shit. It was great. Overall, I was super super impressed and proud of how well he is doing! Can’t wait for round 3 ;)
