The success is even sweeter. He has a special fondness for a film he produced in 2008, "August". He didn’t hide that it would be a great pleasure, if more people could have the opportunity to see it.
Hartnett spoke about working on independent productions with a tremendous passion. He emphasized how important it is for him to have a direct contact with the director and a possibility to work together on the role. At the same time he was talking about the challenges he’s facing while working as a producer: Film production is a gift, you have to see things better and more precise than those who are working directly on the film. You don’t always receive in return as much as you give of yourself. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It all depends on you - joked actor, turning toward the audience.
Josh Hartnett told also about working with the biggest legends of Hollywood, including Ridley Scott, Sławomir Idziak and Brian De Palma, whom he openly called a positive weirdo. He also said a lot of warm words about himself Roland Joffe, who was present at the meeting and whose new film, "Singularity", with Hartnett in the leading role, will be released later this year. The actor didn’t hide that he’s interested in working as a director, but for now he intends to focus on acting. He admitted that he rarely watches films in which he plays. When asked how he knows whether a film is good or not, he replied with laugh: I don’t know.
Obviously, there were questions about the private life of the actor. Hartnett had to disclose the music he listens to recently (on his playlist is currently Frank Ocean and Toro y Moi), and also how he spends his free time: I love to play the guitar, but I'm doing it badly. I am ashamed to play even in front of my girlfriend. His other passion is travelling, and his greatest dream is a trip to South America. Actor also spoke very warmly about Krakow, and his special interest was attracted by a tune (hejnał) played from the Tower of St. Mary’s Church.
The meeting with Josh Hartnett ended after more than an hour and caused a loud applause. Without a doubt the actor has charmed Krakow’s audience with his wit and charm.

On the beginning Josh started to talk about his insomnia, that he has problems with sleeping and cause of the helathy problems on this base he was in hospital twice already. He slept 2 night among 5 ( it's worst when he is travelling)and the three extra ones he used making different things like reading books, computer. He said that cause of this lack of dream he can say some stupid things sometimes ;-)
Later he was telling about Krakow - that is warm place and he means about people ( they are friendly and warm). Jolanta told him taht last 6 months we had a winter here but he said taht he is used to winter cause in Minneapolis is still cold already and even during April they have a snow there.
He was talking later that with his group visited Auschwitz. He said that he learnt about this in school and being here he wanted used ocvassion and see this place. He was really impressed about this place - has sacry feelings taht he was walking exatly in the same stone lanes like this all people they were here during second WW. He said taht is raelly hard to describe to him this feelings and all groug felt the same.
He said that he likes indi movie, music etc and this is great being in festival like that, he talked as well about his production company Roulette Entertainment ( Jolant said that this good name cause sometime you win and sometime you loose investing in some movies) he was laughed and he siad that it's true and on the beginning they get money and now they were loosing them.
She asked him about the words that he said " that Hollywood doesn;t need my love" and that is still like that? He said that he said this some years ago but yes it's true , he said that Hollywood doesn't need his love and he doesn't need love of Hollywood too.. He said he always love cinema and movies but he didn't want to live in LA cause all there is around during film ( all talks etc), and he prefers as well something different. He said that he prefers NY cause he has there a lot of friends they make different things ( are writers, painters,musicaian etc) , he loves to talk about different thinsg , not stay in the same place. He like differnt things not still the same.
He said that NY is still living place, that never sleeps and Jolanta said so just like you Josh. Ha laughed and said yes, thats true..and this is the rason that we suit to each other.
They were talking about the parties, he said that he had a lot of fun in his life now.
Jolanta said that Idziak describing Josh said that he didn't play in BHD and he was himself in this movie and having a choice between saving someone and save his own ass he will make simple decison and he will be save the other person. He answered that it's so nice that Idziak is thinks about him in this way, but he never was in situation like that before that he must decide save yourself or your friend. He said that important thing is to not be selfish, and live in this way to look on yourself in the mirror without a shame for all deeds that we made. He said that society should be built on trust and helping each other.
She asked him about his priorits in his life - he said that is intelectual courage,to be honest with people and this kind of people to have close. He is trying to have close people thinking in similar way to him, they are not thinking in convencional waybut they have strong moral values and roots.
Last question was - how he see himself in 10 years? He said that he wants to be happy, still alive. Shea asked about kids? he said yes some day in the future but not now cause he is still very young for this.

Jolanta问乔关于他之前说过的一句话“好莱坞不需要我的热爱”到现在还是这样认为的吗，乔说几年前他确实说过这句话，也确实是这样的。他说好莱坞不需要我的热情，我也不需要好莱坞的亲睐。他说他一直都很喜欢电影，但他不想住在洛杉矶，因为那里的一切除了电影还是电影，他喜欢呆在其他与之不同的地方。他喜欢纽约，因为在纽约他有很多从事各种行业的朋友，有作家，画家，音乐家等。他喜欢聊各种不同的话题，不喜欢老呆在一个地方，不喜欢一陈不变。 乔说纽约是一个充满活力的城市，是一个不夜城，永远不会处于睡眠状态，Jolanta开玩笑说纽约这点就跟你一样。Hahaha…乔笑了说：是的，这倒是真的，这也是我跟纽约彼此很合适的原因。”又谈到派对，乔说参加派对享受到很多乐趣。
Jolanta对乔说：“伊札克（黑鹰摄影导演）评价你说在《黑鹰坠落》里你并不是在扮演他人，而是真实的自己。在救自己和救他人之间做出选择，你一定会选择救他人。”乔回答说：“伊扎克这样想我很感动。在黑鹰之前我从没遇到过必须在救自己和救朋友中做出选择这种情况。我们应该做的是不要让自己变得自私，审视自己，做到对自己所做的事情问心无愧。社会应该建立在互信互助的基础上。”
最后一个问题：近10年里有什么打算。乔说：想过的开心，保持激情。问及孩子的问题，乔回答说：“将来会考虑生孩子的问题，但是现在还不会，现在对我来说要孩子还太早。”
