Larson was quite up and down in the Olympics. Just because Lang Ping said she was one of the top3 OHs doesn't mean she is. Hooker being the best spiker is because she virtually is unstoppable in-system. But she's not that great when hitting out-of-system. When USA was served out-of-system, they're in trouble.
So many of the US players are extremely athletic however, they have so many bad habits.
That is why Logan is relied upon so much, even if she is out of her prime. Serve deep on the US and they are restricted to wing hitters who don't swing on off sets. Hodge, Hooker refuse to hit out of system sets. It's pathetic, it's something you see in NCAA volleyball. It worked in the NCAA because the NCAA is barely a step better than jounior club, but this is international play.
