我的理解是schwa即元音的weak form(弱音)，而weak form的概念大于schwa。
当然口语还应注意的是连读，这个有时要与weak form结合起来。

关于语调（intonation）
1）是非问句用升调，如：
Is she married?
2）Wh 问句用降调，如：
Where does he live?
语调可用于传达意思，就是说，态度可以通过不同的语调表达出来。例如：
No! 声音上扬表达惊奇
No! 声音降下表达生气
No. 声音持平表达厌倦或不感兴趣I

词尾 -ed 的三种不同发音
/t/
若动词尾音为清辅音 (如s, k, ch, sh, p, h, f, x)，则词尾应加 /t/ 音。
清辅音(unvoiced sound)，发音时送气强，声带不振动
We worked all day.
He helped me.
She laughed at me.
/d/
若动词尾音为浊辅音（如b, g, v, z, l, m, n, r, w, y）或元音(如ei, aiə)，则词尾应加 /d/ 音。
浊辅音(voiced sound)，发音时几乎不送气，声带振动。
元音(vowel sound)，发音时气流通过口腔不受阻碍。(辅音气流通过口腔或鼻腔时受阻碍)
I cleaned the house.
We arrived late.
They listened to music.
He played basketball well.
/id/
若动词尾音为 /t/ 或 /d/，则应加 /id/ 音作为额外的音节。
We wanted to see the fireworks.

如果动词以 s, ch 或 sh 结尾，则第三人称形式中应加 /iz/ 音。例如：
She watches TV.
He washes the dishes.
如果动词以辅音而非 s 或 sh 结尾，则第三人称形式中应加 /s/ 音。
气流在口腔或咽头受到阻碍而形成的音叫做辅音。
She drinks a glass of milk every day.
He eats breakfast at 8am.
如果动词尾音为元音，则第三人称形式中应加 /z/ 音。
元音是在发音过程中由气流通过口腔而不受阻碍发出的音。
