It’s not “much” but I bet you’ll like it anyway. In year 2011 Bill Skarsgård appeared in the music video for a song Bränner ner ett hus of Swedish rockband Dom dummaste. If my basic knowledge of Swedish is right the name of the band means something like “They dumbest” and they are quite a cult band in Sweden. The song itself is remake of Talking Heads‘ 80s hit Burning Down The House. You can watch the music video with Bill on your own here, plus read the following, short interview from Swedish Aftonbladet with Bill I managed to translate from Swedish into English (sorry for any mistakes…).

Q: What are you playing?
- Dom dummaste have made a remake of Talking Heads’ song Burning Down The House called Bränner ner ett hus. I play a schizophreniac boy who is running around the town and lives in a container. A loner.
“It was cool”
Q: What was it like to play in the music video?
- It was cool. I had to pretend singing along the song and the text was hard to learn. There are long lines of words. The text is a direct translation of Burning Down The House, word by word, which means that context sometimes doesn’t make sense.
Q: You and your brother Gustaf have done together also another thing with “Dom dummaste”. What is your connection with the band?
- Martin Rössel, the band’s stepfather, is one of my friends. I’ve met him once, he has an audio and filmstudio and he helped me with something. We have become good friends. Now I’m helping him with this.
Q: I heard somewhere that “Dom dummaste” are the favorite band of Skarsgård brothers.
- Yeah, you can say that. I any case it is my favorite band right now.
Roots in the hip hop
Q: What else do you listen to?
- I’ve got my roots in the hip hop. Then I went from it to blues, soul, jazz and further to reggae. And then from reggea to rock and punk.
Q: Finally, what do you want the most right now?
- Warmer weather. An early summer.
