Intensity: Category 1, sustained winds near the centre of 75 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 100 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 30 kilometres of 15.9 degrees South 124.0 degrees East, estimated to be 75 kilometres southwest of Kuri Bay and 160 kilometres north northeast of Derby.
Movement: south southeast at 14 kilometres per hour.
Tropical Cyclone Dianne will make landfall just to the east of Cockatoo Island over the next few hours, then weaken rapidly as it moves inland early Saturday morning. Although damaging winds are unlikely after TC Dianne weakens over land during the weekend, heavy rainfall is likely to extend through inland parts of the Kimberley and adjacent parts of the North Interior.

Location: within 35 kilometres of 16.6 degrees South 123.9 degrees East, estimated to be 80 kilometres north northeast of Derby and 145 kilometres south southwest of Kuri Bay.
Movement: south southeast at 13 kilometres per hour.
Tropical Cyclone Dianne made landfall just to the east of Cockatoo Island early this morning, and is moving southwards, just inland from the coast. It is expected to pass east of Derby at about midday. Dianne is expected to weaken below tropical cyclone strength in the next few hours.
