Hanwha Life Esports played the most games and became the most-watched team of the tournament. However, when it came to average viewers per match, they were far behind T1.
The LCK Cup 2025 became the second most-watched tournament in LCK history, only behind LCK Spring 2024, which had over 2,6 million viewers at its peak.

The viewership for LCK Cup 2025 could have been higher if T1 hadn’t been knocked out early. The roster changes played a big role, but the strange league format also had an impact. The playoffs used a double-elimination bracket, but the “second-chance” rule didn’t apply to first-round teams. As a result, T1 was eliminated after their first loss, even though they were one of the top teams in the group stage. Similar issues can be seen in other leagues, like LTA.
From a viewership perspective, T1 (or Gen.G) would have brought more viewers to First Stand 2025. However, Hanwha Life Esports earned their spot and deserves recognition. The top five teams from major regional leagues will compete in First Stand 2025. Along with HLE, there will be CTBC Flying Oyster, Team Liquid, and the champions of LPL Split 1 2025 and LEC Winter 2025, which will be decided in early March.
