ONCE A dominant force in Hong Kong cinema, the director and producer Tsui Hark has slowed down over the past decade.
曾经做为香港电影界领头人的导演、监制徐克在过去的十年中慢下了他的进度。
But he still knows how to tell an eccentric story in an entertaining way - as he demonstrates in this martial arts whodunit, set in 7th century China and very loosely inspired by historical events.
但是他仍然非常擅长用有趣的方式来给大家讲述奇幻神化的故事。它将发生在公元七世纪中国唐朝的故事以功夫片的形式展现给大家，而没有涉及过多的历史故事。

All the same, the film has its serious side; though he depends on mainlaind China as a source of funding, Tsui plainly shares some of his hero's scepticism towards the pretensions of state power.

我的评价：老外们真是能找事儿，好好一部《狄仁杰》竟然能扯到政治问题上去！有完没完啊！
