Many unfortunate people fall into the hands of the Heretic Warbands, either during one of their many raids or battles, or purchased from the slave markets within their own domains. Some are foolhardy adventurers who travel into the domains of the damned and are caught by their ever watching patrols. They are used as a form of currency, and many Heretic Priests pay their taxes to their Demon overlords in this form of human flesh.

The lot of the Wretched is grim and terrible, as they are worked to death in the factories of the Sixty-Six Lords, butchered for meat, or worst of all, sold to the agents of the Court of the Seven-headed Serpent and taken through the Hellgate.

Such desperate men and women are branded with cursed flesh-eating tattoos as a safeguard against escape attempts and heavily drugged to degrade and dull their will, while still leaving their aggression intact. Heretic elites discard their lives carelessly, as the sacrifice of their life on battlefield counts as a virtuous deed which will be rewarded by their Infernal Patrons.

An even worse fate awaits those Wretched who end up in the hands of the Court of the Seven-Headed Serpent. As these unfortunate souls posses not a drop of demon blood, they are used as disposable shock troops or are to be used as subjects of torture to power the Goetic magic of the Sorcerers and other users of the dark arts.
