Hello everyone,
It's been a while!
For a long time, to be honest, I considered myself basically semi-retired from music. After releasing my first album at the age of ten, putting out 3 albums with major record labels, going through contractual disputes with management/entertainment companies and having, all the while, very little say in the actual music I released, I frankly had lost the energy and desire to continue. I also wanted to discover other things, outside of music, and when it came to music I wanted to spend time writing, playing with software, learning things, experimenting, etc. This lead to me studying for a degree in Social & Political Science, which I completed in 2019, and working in areas related to those fields.
Nevertheless, I had the pleasure of going to China for 10 concerts across the country back in 2017. It was a lot of fun to present two hours of music with a set list consisting almost entirely of songs I myself had crafted. Another tour had been spoken about for 2020 but then the pandemic hit, which ultimately, on the music front, lead to another long break.
I now find myself pulled back, so to speak, by the music itself. The writing process acting as a kind of outlet for reflecting on the world around me, and maybe even a way of confronting some of the injustices. I'm not yet sure where exactly it will lead but the act of writing and creating again is very rewarding. Keep an eye out on my Soundcloud page (button below) as I will be uploading the recordings from the China tour and likely some demos of new songs or ideas along the way as well!
