月食的开始梅尔引用了Robert Frost的诗来展现Bella夹在狼人友情与吸血鬼的爱情中的复杂感受。犹如在冰与火中得以生存。

整部月食中那本破旧的Wuthering Height都与Bella相伴，文中引用的并不多，但句句都贴切此时三人（B、E、J）的心理状态。PS：话说这Healthcliff和Catherine的感情还真不是一般的扭曲，强烈同意爱德华，他俩还真不应该和MR.darcy、Elizabeth，Romeo、 Juliet并称经典爱情。
