A prisoner of my own fears, entwined,
The bars, like whispers, taunting my desires,
Fettered and suffocated, my soul tires.
Each passing day, hope's dim ember grows cold,
The dreams that once danced, now helpless, unfold,
The world beyond, a distant, hazy view,
Within these walls, my spirit is subdued.
But deep within, a flicker starts to ignite,
A yearning for freedom, a determined fight,
For even in captivity's darkest domain,
The spirit's resilience shall never wane.
Cage of Confinement, though it may enclose,
I shall rise above, break free and oppose,
Embracing liberation, my heart shall roam,
No longer captive, to my dreams, I'll be home.
