Passenger is a person who travels in a vehicle, such as a bus, car, train, airplane, or ship. They are usually not the driver or crew of the vehicle. Passengers pay for their transportation and are generally expected to follow safety rules and regulations while on board. Passengers can also be referred to as riders or travelers. In some cases, passengers may be given special privileges such as discounts on fares or priority boarding.
