It has been confirmed by both VS as well as Michael Bay himself that Rosie will be replacing Megan Fox’s character in the 3rd installment of Transformers, due out in Summer 2011. Others up for the role include: Gemma Arterton, Ashley Green and Zoe Salanda
Michael and Rosie recently worked together for the VS Holiday Commercial.
As for the reason of miss Fox’s departure from Transformers – it’s unclear. Last year she had made some remarks about Michael that were less than flattering, which sent letters flying. However, it appeared to have been worked out. But the role was rewritten. Fox’s publicist says this was her decision, but again … we have he said she said.
It as well appears that this will be a new love interest for Shia LeBeouf’s character, and not Rosie playing Megan’s old role. Either way, let’s all congratulate Rosie on her achievement. Perhaps Michael will find a way to incorporate Rosie’s Agent Provocateur outfit into the film – just an idea Michael. I leave the genius to you as per usual
