In January 2016, when I left Brazil to go to China, after being Brazilian League Champion and MVP of the competition, I’ve never imagined that journey would be one of the most exciting in my life.
Wearing the Beijing Guoan jersey, it was love at first sight. What amazing atmosphere on Worker Stadium! What a lovely fans! What a privilege!
Wearing this shirt, I lived great moments in my life! I became Olympic Gold Medal, I played an World Cup for my country, when nobody believed that I could keep playing in high level in China, and thanks to my club and my teammates, I did that. I became champion in China, what was really amazing. Give back to the club and fans all they did for me, was a really honor, as your captain!
Unfortunately the pandemic came, bringing together a lot of troubles, and the distance is one of them. Since January we’re trying to find the way to back to China, but it didn’t happens.
The life is made by hard decisions, and it’s hard to me, but I had to look for another option to continue my career at this moment. It’s wasn’t on the way that I desire, and for sure it won’t be a farewell, but a see you soon. Certainly our ways will meet again.
Thanks to Beijing Guoan for everything. Thanks to my teammates, staff, president and club directors, and specially to all our fans and supporters!

当我第一次穿上北京国安的球衣，我就对它一见钟情。工人体育场的气氛真好，有着那么可爱的球迷! 那么优越的条件!
穿上这件球衣以后，我经历了人生中最伟大的时刻， 我成为了奥运会金牌得主！我为我的国家打了一场世界杯，当时没有人相信我可以在中国还保持很高的竞技水平，但是我做到了。在此非常感谢我的俱乐部和我的队友。另外，我们还一起拿到了足协杯冠军，这真的很了不起。同时也回报了俱乐部和球迷为我所做的一切，作为你们的队长，我真的很荣幸。
不幸的是，新冠的到来，带来了很多麻烦，距离就是其中之一。从一月份开始，我们就在努力寻找返回中国的方法，但并没有成功。
生活是由艰难的决定组成的，这对我来说很困难，但我必须在这个时候寻找另一个选择来继续我的职业生涯。这不是我想要的方式，但是我可以肯定的是，这不会是永远的告别，我们一定会再次相见。
感谢北京国安的一切。感谢我的队友、工作人员、主席和俱乐部董事，特别是我们所有的球迷和支持者。
