Forget about that sequined glove auction. Michael Jackson fanatics can get even closer to the late King of Pop with a new fragrance that's been created from his DNA.
Los Angeles-based fragrance company My DNA Fragrance has teamed up with John Reznikoff, who has the world's largest collection of historical hair, including strands of Jackson's coif, to formulate a new cologne called M. Using a special process, "DNA can be extracted from hair shafts with or without the follicle intact," the company's website claims.
Part of the company's "Antiquity" fragrance collection, M costs about $60 and comes in a three-ounce silver bottle shaped like one of Jackson's old outfits. There are no specific details on M's actual scent but the site promises that "this cologne is unique like not other cologne in the world."
The "Antiquity" line also includes fragrances made from Albert Einstein, Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. M is currently available for pre-order and will sell in select shops in early 2010.
