Dakota Fanning, who plays New Moon Volturi Guard Jane, is featured in an upcoming article for the New York Times.
Inside the article, they state that Dakota “is so self-possessed and so articulate that the only reminder you’re speaking with a 15-year-old and not someone much older is her occasional tendency to giggle when she’s sharing some droll aspect of her life.”
Dakota also talks about playing the character of Jane. “You have to be able to separate your personal life from playing a character … That’s not your real life.”
She didn’t bother trying to find some redeeming characteristic in Jane, she says. “She’s pretty much evil! Yes, she may feel like she’s just doing her job by torturing people, but that’s evil.”
