Integrated Writing
1.take notes on what they read and hear,and use them to organize informaton before writing.
2.summarize,paraphrase,and cite information from the source material accurately.
3.write about the ways the information they heard relates to the information they read.

REQUIREMENT OF WRITING TASKS
1.identify one main idea and some major points that support it.
2.plan how to organize the essay(for example,with an outline).
3.develop the essay by using reasons,examples,and details.
4.express information in an organized manner.
5.use effective linking words(traditional phrases) to connect ideas and help the reader understand the flow of ideas
6.use a range of grammer and vocabulary accurately;use idiomatic expressions appropriately.
7.follow the conventions of speling,punctuation,and layout.

INDEPENDENT WRITING
Students must also write essays that express and support their opinions.In this type of writing,known as independent writing,students express an opinion and support it based on their own experience and knowledge.
For example,students may be asked to write an essay about a controvercial view.The students use past,personal experience to support their position.
300 words at least,320-450 words is moderate.

The independent writing essay is scored on the overall quality of the wrting:
development,organization,and appropriate and precise use of grammer and vocabulary.
Tips:
1.Increase vocabulary and knowledge of idiomatic soeech so you can use it appropriately.
2.Learn grammatical structures so well that you canuse them natrally when writing.
3.Learn the convention of spelling,punctuation,and layout(for example,paragraph creation).
4.Express information in an organized manner,displaying unity in thought and coherence.
5.Use signal words and phrases,such as "on the one hand" or "in conclusion",to create a clear structure for your response.
