Finished assembling this one yesterday. Probably one of my favorite AFVs. I just love the angles along with the simplicity of this subject. Only a prototype was made which is currently displayed in Kubinka outside of Moscow city. What I tried to do was construct this model to represent what a production vehicle would have looked like referencing photos and drawings of the JS-3 M45. I built this replica using Voyager Object 702 and JS-3 photo etch kits along with parts from a few Aber sets. The BL-10 gun was turned by a student from the Precision Machine Tool program at the Center of Technology where I teach. The copper details were scratch-built. Friulmodel metal tracks were also employed.
