No Country For Old Man
“A child killed a 14-year-old girl,he said there wasn’t any passion to it,said he’d planned to kill somebody for as long as he could remember,said if they turned him out ,he could do it again”.
The most clear words in my mind after watching the film.I don’t know what to make of it,I sure do don’t,but a feeling that when someone has a crime,he don’t know what he did is wrong has come to my mind long before,I believe that everything has its saying,it can be related to other things with very small point,such as the experiences one has experience,such as the character.
There are mainly three people in the film,but for my own idea,it’s only two,the sheriff and Anto.Anto,a killer maybe,has his own creed:kill everyone who has seen him.his words”If the rule you followed brought you to this of what use was the rule”suggests that he has principles,principles that transcend money or drugs,people like that is so crule,everyone will say this,but his cold blood doesn’t have no reason,he suspect the beauty of men’s character .what make of it,I sure say it must be related to his own life,a life full of pain,no one to care about him or abandonted by others.We will say he has no emotion,we used to see him as a different person, but when I suddenly saw his smile,I come to realize that he is just a man,all he has done can be said with in reason.
The sheiff,with his father,his grandfather both are lawman,A man in the film from beginning to ending.I was knew you had to be willing be die to do this job,but I don’t want to push my ships forward and go out and meet something I don’t understand.A man has to put his soul at hazard.He is so responsible that has a feeling like that.
However,how does the film say “no coutry for old man”,most of people will say from the sheiff.Absolutely,the position of sheiff is all his life,and when he is old,he felt lonely and has nothing to be depended on,something has been taken from him,but for my own point of view,it also include the killer Anto,he always has nothing to be relied on even when he’s not old,he did everything according to he coin,when I saw the back view of him at last,I thought the title maybe also for him.
What’s the film saying for,I sure don’t know,everyone has his own view,something he can get from it.Just for me,I cannot say that the film is so motivate that I got a lot from it.I remember some words like”all the time you spend trying to get back what’s been took from you,more is going out the door…”
