Because of the particularity of flying career, pilots are prone to have adverse effects on mental health. They need to have certain personality characteristics to adjust their mental health. In this paper, through consulting a large number of relevant flight personnel psychological health assessment documents concluded: Although the overall level of mental health of the flight crew is high, but they have been facing increasingly heavy psychological pressure, the psychological health problems of the flight personnel should not be underestimated. For flight personnel, some personality traits, such as neuroticism, extraversion, openness and agreeableness, can predict anxiety and depression, and conscientiousness can also predict the occurrence of depression in flight personnel. High neuroticism of personality traits and immature coping styles will affect the mental health level and openness, extraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness of personality traits and coping styles can promote the healthy development of the psychological problems. There are some differences between pilots' mental health and age, sex and family background. These should be highly valued in routine mental health care and pilot selection.
