1st time : SSAT is not even close to the requirement ,shitty grades, nothing really stands out. I was devastated by the fact I was rejected by all of the schools I have applied to. I have a older sister attended Hotchkiss, and nothing could help me. I didn't got to school for three days thought that is it, wtf am i gonna do with my life. I cried for whole week and I became extremely emotionally unstable for the next three moths.
Between 2016 April to 2017 February:
My life recovered to a normal state, I have matured a lot over the period and it is one of the best transition time I have ever had in my life time. I have some family background and I met with Kevin Kelly and other famous figures. I have found what I truly love during this time and it will come into effect of second rejection:
2nd: I have worked my ass of between August 2016 to January 2017. I have done very well in the essay section and got an 84th percentile in 9th grade SSAT. I applied to Hotchkiss and founders league school again and once again I got rejected by all of the schools, but I did not cry and I did not grief for the loss. I have devoted myself into science in the past three months and already started researching in undergraduate level project as a high school freshman, I have dedicate myself into science. For me, it is go big or go home. Right now, I am going to intern at NASA JPL during the summer which is one of my dream workplace. I do not see how those boarding schools can benefit my in the future, and none of them have strong scientific background to support me. going to boarding schools means I have to give up my research and experimenting. It was not really worth it because I am treating this as my future career.
What I learned: Go Big on what you are dedicated in; Shitty students can still get into boarding schools; Those who attended boarding schools can still go to shitty illegals; You don't have to explain your significance to a person who will never reach your magnificence in their life time;
