ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: We talked a while back about how great it was for you to get to work with Andrew Lincoln again after some time apart.
What was it like getting to work with Melissa McBride again for the big Daryl and Carol reunion here?

“We missed each other this whole time. Me and Andy missed each other, but me and Melissa missed each other too. It’s weird. She and I talk when we’re not filming and we’re like “How are you?” It’s f—ing bizarre! So it’s hard and it’s a bittersweet reunion. We enjoy it, but we don’t enjoy being apart. And that goes for a lot of us. There are certain characters where as soon as they start going, we start bawling. It’s kind of silly. But she’s definitely one of those for me.”

所以這是很艱難的過程，這是一個苦樂參半(悲喜交織)的團聚。我們很享受它(指團聚)，但我們不喜歡被分裂開來。這情況也適用於我們很多人。有些特定的角色一旦他們在哪裡，我們就會開始嚎啕大哭。說起來有些愚蠢，但她絕對會就是會讓我這樣的人。
(Silly這裡比較像是愚蠢的可愛傻傻的方式表達，自嘲自己的舉動嚎啕大哭...)

The way Daryl deals with that is he buries it deep within himself and grits his teeth. He doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve until he comes in contact with someone he cares about. Carol is one of those people. It’s interesting to watch someone try not to cry, and he’s trying not to cry like all the time. He’s always had to be tough. He had to hide it. When he comes across certain people, it starts to leak out, it’s just a flood. Mesissa is one of those people that comes and does that with me, actually.—

訪談This reunion shows their relationship at a new level. A lot of fans have been waiting for a Daryl/Carol romance, but the way they react to seeing each other, and the sacrifice he makes in not telling her the truth… their feelings for each other are kind of beyond just romance. It’s a deeper thing.
NR回答:It’s deeper than that. And it’s the deep ones that stick, you know what I mean? It’s deeper than that, their relationship. It has been from the beginning, and it’s just gotten deeper, and deeper, and deeper. You can’t deny that connection, but you’re right. Especially in this world that we’re living in, this end of the world, there’s nothing else left.
