宗教原因。。�

Apparently, the phrase "separation of church and state" and "first amendment" means nothing to the majority of voting Californians. Rather medieval
of them, and a bit of a travesty for the cherry on the cake.

Wow, I fail on subject-verb agreement there....

But yes, I am pretty disgusted with California right now.

Yeah, Alaska is kind of up there in the silliness scale also... Kind of pisses me off.

LOL! Seriously it is good that prop. 4 did not pass. If Prop 4 passed, more girls would go to these illegal places to have abortions, because they would be afraid that their parents would what happened.

I personally think you should NOT blame on Christains about the Prop 8. 
In the churches, they were not allowed to talk about Prop. 8 at all. 
Also Bible is Christians'moral standard. It is what they believe in. 
A lot of people in CA think that gay marriage is wrong. These are all their opinions. It has nothing to do with the freedom of religion. 
Don't forget the facts that many non-christians are against gay marriage. 
There are also another issues about gay marriage. 
Many parents are afraid that if prop. 8 did not pass, which means in the schools teachers can just teach gay marriage to these little children. 
If you really read Bible, you would know that what Bible is only applied to Christains. It is their moral stantard. In the Bible, it says that God gave humans free will, so they can pick whatever they want to do, which including their choice for marriage. 

My uncle and a lot of my friends are christians but they support gay marriage, because they believe that people have rights to make their own decision.

就像说日本发动了侵华战争。。难道是一般的百姓说要侵华的吗？不是。。。决定权在于那些统治者，在于那些有权的人。。一般的christians 都没有什么实质的权力，他们在这个立法上的声音不大。。就像你说的，他们甚至连说不说这件事也收到一定的控制。。。那么就是说那些真正有权力的信徒（通常这些人都很“虔诚”，双关），只有他们有决定力。。。同时他们绝对是促进立法通过的人！
所以我说宗教原因并非针对所有的christians呢。。。
