"About two years ago, I was lucky enough to get to visit Ryan’s studio at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. And what I saw when I went there was an opportunity for the kids to find excitement and express their creativity and learn about what it is to create content – whether you would like to make your own radio show or whether you want to record. It was so exciting to see the excitement that it brought to this one hospital. That fact that [Seacrest is] opening his tenth studio just speaks to his commitment to bettering the lives of kids who are ill, and it affects their whole family.
I’m so thankful to be here when it’s opening. And I just want to say thank you to Ryan for everything that he’s doing to help kids and to really change the hospital experience in the best way possible. So thank you for having me. Thank you so much for inviting me today. You’re amazing."

Seacrest Studios are also a popular venue for celebrities, artists and other performers who visit Children’s Health and want to visit with and provide entertainment to our patients. The studios also feature an adjacent courtyard where visitors can watch or listen to activities going on inside.
The ultimate purpose of the studios is to provide a better experience for our patients and their families, a sense of normalcy or a welcome distraction while they’re dealing with an illness.
In fact, the studios end up being a kind of virtual playroom for children. Patients discover how to cope with their hospitalization, learn more about the hospital environment and connect with other children who are experiencing similar situations.
As a Children’s Health patient family member, you can ask for more information on how Seacrest Studios and the Red Balloon Network can enrich your child’s stay and how your child can get involved. Your care team is always available to answer questions and provide more information.
