United head coach thrilled with third victory in a week

Leeds United head coach Garry Monk spoke exclusively to LUTV following the 2-0 victory over Burton Albion.

The Whites extended their unbeaten run at Elland Road to seven games, with Leeds moving within a point of the play-offs.

Whilst Monk admitted the display could have been better, he was delighted to get the three points.

“Part of me wants to be critical with aspects of the performance, but it is very difficult after this week, the side have given me everything.

“I know from experience that when you have emotional highs, like we had on Tuesday night, it is very difficult to be at your best in the next game.

“The whole squad is contributing, everyone has helped us achieve these results this week and I have seen everything I want to see.”

"Burton are a good side, they have had some excellent results, they came here very determined and it was a really tough test today.

Monk also praised the 24,220 crowd who turned out at Elland Road, for their support.

"Today even though we didn't get the performance, the fans kept backing us and drove us on to get the win and that is important,” said Monk.
