主办单位一同展示“2016年Roots and Wings慈善音乐表演”的宣传海报。左起雪丽、

(汶莱斯市24日讯)
“2016年Roots and Wings慈善音乐表演”将在今年9月17日晚上7时30分至9时30分，
在遮鲁东国际学校礼堂（JIS）举行，入门券分成汶币100元及50元，所筹得款项
将悉数捐献给汶莱特殊奥林匹克组织及La Vida非盈利慈善组织。
Fitness Zone健身馆创办人兼国际知名艺人吴尊，今早在Fitness Zone与遮鲁东国际
学校代表、Boustead有限公司高级营运经理黄慧蓉、市场经理许合祥、筹备会主席
吴玉兰、筹委会成员周晓晴，一同签署合作备忘录。
会上吴尊表示，很荣幸Fitness Zone健身馆能再次参与慈善活动，为社会不幸群体
贡献一份力量。
也是慈善亲善大使的吴尊称，只是涉及慈善，他一定会落力配合及支持，并也希望
民众也能与他一样，对慈善事业慷慨解囊，有钱出钱，有力出力。
“2016年Roots and Wings慈善音乐表演”，主题为“儿童是我们的未来”，由一群对音乐
及艺术有天份的汶莱国民，提供一个表演的平台，让他们的天赋能在表演会中发挥的
淋漓尽致，并展现他们天才的一面。
共有150名学生，专业及非专业音乐爱好者参与演出，演出包括舞蹈、音乐弹奏、歌唱
以及一切与艺术有关的，将会节目中让大家大饱眼福，听出耳油。
入门票从即日起售卖，如果所有入门券都售罄，可筹得汶币4万元。

MARK your calendar on September 17 for the upcoming musical charity concert
dubbed ‘Roots and Wings’ which will feature vibrant local talents in music, dance and
play.
Various youth and children from the local entertainment industry are to gather together
in the event to raise funds for two non-profit organisations - Special Olympic Brunei
Darussalam (SOBD) and La Vida.
Scheduled to take place at Jerudong International School (JIS) Arts Center, the charity
concert will feature more than 150 performers who comprised of students from JIS and
Expression Music, among others as well as numbers from ballet performers and
WCOPA performer Maria Grace Koh.
A signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was held yesterday
at Fitness Zone Kiulap between the event’s title sponsor Boustead Sdn Bhd and
Fitness Zone and La Vida as the committee of the charity concert. Signing on behalf
of Boustead was its Human Resource and Customer Service Senior Operation
Manager Helen Wong Wui Yong, who represented Managing Director
Dato Paduka Lim Beng Thai, meanwhile, signing for Fitness Zone was its
Managing Director Wu Chun who is also the goodwill ambassador of the concert.
“Personally, this would be one of the meaningful projects for me in Brunei.
It is also one of my dreams aside from giving our local talents the chance to
showcase their strengths channeling through charitable events,” said Wu Chun.
“We are also able to use entertainment and passion for music and arts to reach
out to the public for a good cause.”
In a press statement, Boustead said that it came with a decision to support such
charity event for the first time.
Meanwhile Lee said that she is “thrilled” to be part of the charity musical event that
involves diverse talents from different backgrounds and ages.
Concert tickets are sold at $100 and $50 which are available for purchase at
Fitness Zone branches, Boustead, La Vida Family Resource Centre, JIS stationery
shop and Canaan Hardware.

MEMBERS of the public will get to witness some fresh talents at the upcoming Roots
and Wings Charity Concert, the first of its kind, which is set to take place on September
17 at the Jerudong International School (JIS) Arts Centre.
The charity concert is set to raise funds for the Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam
(SOBD) and La Vida, a non-profit organisation for special needs children.
Yesterday, Boustead Sdn Bhd was announced as the event’s main sponsor, following
a signing ceremony held at Fitness Zone Kiulap.
Representing Fitness Zone Kiulap was Brunei-born international star Wu Chun,
Managing Director of Fitness Zone who is also a goodwill ambassador for the event.
He was joined by Helen Wong Wui Yong, the Human Resource and Customer
Service Senior Operation Manager of Boustead Sdn Bhd, who signed on behalf
of Dato Paduka Lim Beng Thai.
The other signatories were Alvin Koh, the Marketing Manager of Boustead Sdn Bhd
and Cynthia Bong, the concert chairlady.
Also in attendance were Dawn Lee of SOBD and founder of La Vida, together with
Shelley Busque, Chris Carvalho and Marietta Del Mar, the concert director.
Following the signing, Wu Chun said, “We want to provide the children with wings to fly,
to make a difference for their future. Personally, this is a meaningful project for the
country. It is also my dream, not only to give our local talents a chance to shine
through charitable events, but also use entertainment and passion for music and arts
to reach out to the public for a good cause.”
He also expressed his gratitude to Boustead, especially to Dato Paduka Lim Beng
Thai, for the support.
The hour-and-a-half concert will feature 150 children showcasing their talents in
ballet, magic shows and many more.
Tickets will be available at Fitness Zone branches, Boustead, the La Vida Family
Resource Centre, the JIS stationery shop and Canaan Hardware. Further details
