Yamaha announced tonight at their annual gala Monterey Aquarium party that they have signed Valentino Rossi to a new contract that will see the former champion ride for Yamaha in MotoGP until the 2010 season.

American Colin Edwards II announced moments ago in the Laguna Seca Red Bull USGP press conference that he has agreed to terms with the Tech 3 Yamaha team for 2009. Edwards indicated that he feels he's having the best season yet in Grand Prix and sees no reason to stop.
