Good morning, teachers & students. Today I will give you a presentation about the logistics in 3M company. It is mainly talk about the strategies of Logistics in 3M.
There are two parts of my presentation, first is introduction and then is our main topic, logistics.
To begin with, I will give you a brief introduction about 3M firstly.

（The diversion of products which means that 3M must have a comprehensive and practical logistical system and supply chain policies. So the next part I will introduce the Logistic of 3M company.）
The second part is logistics, it mainly talks about the logistics strategies & performance.
There are five main stages of strategies.

(We can see the right chart, it shows the relationships between departments is close and adjacent. Localization can shorten the link between departments and make the internal communication better.)
(Besides, in the period of 2005 to now, 3M has established plenty of new equipment, recruited new employees and developed many subsidiaries all over the world. This is the external localization. We can see the factory of 3M is close to the aimed market and clients which can provide their new products and technology to local customers directly. )
(This is known as local supply.)
(Overall)

(This also contribute the unity of quality, which means 3M can reduce the large of inventory and provide a better service to customers. )
(The decline of pollution means there are a higher efficiency in factory, less dangerous materials in the logistic and less potential duty in the process.
The most important is, the indirect transfer logistic cost is also lower correspondingly.
Also, the fulfillment of promise make further efforts on reputation, receive favorable remarks and enhance the satisfaction of customers.
Such a logistic system also has been regarded as the most excellent system in the American business)
