Guest Speaker:
Prof. Xiaojing Shi
Member of Association Internationale des Interpretes de Conference (AIIC), ChineseTranslators Association. Prof. Shi was a staff interpreter at United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and later worked freelance for private corporations and the United Nations system. She has interpreted for many international organizations, businesses and bilateral negotiations. She is an Associate Professor at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, Graduate School of Interpretation, Translation and Language Education,Monterey, CA. She was a translator and reviser for the English and French editions of China Today in Beijing, and translator of Camel Xiangzi by Lao She.
施晓菁教授是国际口译员协会（AIIC）会员、中国翻译协会会员，曾在联合国日内瓦总部任口译员，此后作为自由译员继续为公司及联合国机构工作，担任过许多的国际会议、商务会谈及谈判的口译员，现为美国蒙特雷研究院翻译学院副教授。她曾在北京《今日中国》杂志社英语部和法语部担任翻译、审校，也是老舍名著《骆驼祥子》的英文版译者。
