Gerald Earl Gillum known by his stage name,G-Eazy (or Young Gerald), is an American hip hop recording artist and recordproducer from Oakland, California.[1] His major-label debut album, These ThingsHappen, was released in 2014 and peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 200.His second hit album, When It's Dark Out, was released on December 4, 2015.

老公一年级时，父母离婚，妈妈带着他和弟弟搬家到伯克利的外公外婆家。随后搬去北奥克兰，但留在伯克利读书。
12岁时妈妈搞拉拉，和Melissa Mills女士约会。他很困惑很尴尬，不知道妈妈私生活为什么发生这种变化，但最后还是接受M女士作为家里的一部分而且和她亲近。
M女士有躁郁症，吃药导致抑郁。有天老公回家看到M女士药物过量而去世。他在二专里的Everything Will Be OK中讲述了故事的细节。

WhenGillum was in the first grade, his mother left his father (who is an artassociate professor at CSU Fresno)[2] to move Gillum and his younger brother(James Wolcott Gillum) in with his grandparents in Berkeley, California. Theylater moved to North Oakland, although Gillum continued attending school inBerkeley. When Gillum was around 12 years old, his mother began dating a woman,Melissa Mills, which initially confused and embarrassed Gillum who didn'tunderstand the change in his mother's personal life.[3] However, as he came toaccept Mills as a part of the family and grew close to her, Mills becamedepressed while on drugs to treat her manic depressive disorder. One day,Gillum came home to find Mills deceased due to a fatal overdose. Gillum detailshis experience in the last verse of his track, "Everything Will BeOK", on his second studio album, When It's Dark Out.
