Topic 2: TGIF( Thank God It’s Friday)
Situation: Two students decide whether to go to a karaoke bar or a music concert on Friday night. They talk about various kinds of music and singers in China.
Role A: Propose activities on the weekend. Express your musical preference, explain why.
Role B: Express your musical preference, explain why. Make a deal with A and decide to go to a karaoke bar /some singer’s music concert.
Topic 3: Living on Your Own or Living with Parents
Situation: Role A is living in the college dorm on campus but Role B lives with his/her parents. Discuss the relative advantages and disadvantages of the two ways of living.
Role A: You are in favor of living on campus.
Role B: You prefer live with your parents.
Topic 5: Spring Festival
Situation: Role A is talking with Role B. And he /she knows that B is free on the coming Spring Festival. Then A invites B to a BBQ but B does not like A and therefore does not want to accept the invitation. Finally B finds a good excuse and politely turns down the invitation.
Role A: You invite B to spend the approaching Christmas Eve together.
Role B: You decline A with reasons and suggestions.
