I met Ian Mckellen whilst drunk and thought to myself now is my opportunity to make my hero, gandalf/magneto laugh and become best friends with him forever. I ran right in front of him blocking his path and whilst slurring shouted "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" as loud as I could to which everybody within earshot turned stared and waited nervously for his reply. He put his hand on my shoulder and said "how very postmodern of you, I hear this 16 times a day but congratulations on your effort to the role" he then proceeded to brush me aside and carry on his merry way. No celebrity best friends. No round of applause for being a comical genius and a street full of people thinking I was a dick for trying to humiliate a national treasure.

I had a friend who ran into Matt Damon at a grocery store in LA. Everyone was coming up to him wanting an autograph so she was sort shy to go up and bug him. He ended up standing behind her in the checkout line. She was still afraid to say anything even though he is her favorite actor. On her way to the parking lot she was getting cat called by a guy saying "hey girl I'd like you to come home with me and make me some dinner." Matt came up to her and asked the guy if that was really necessary and to leave her alone. He was great and asked her if she was okay. So essentially Matt Damon is a white Knight.

Working in press, I tend to meet a few more celebrities than the average person. Here are my experiences (during interviews):

Daniel Radcliffe - He's a very nice guy, and it's pretty clear that Hollywood has not made him into a smug jerk. When I entered the room to interview him, he stood up (99.9% actors do not do this) and walked over to greet me. What a stand-up guy.

Samuel L. Jackson - He had colorful socks and a big smile. He was very nice and very funny. I also made him laugh, so that was a big plus for me.

Tom Cruise - He's seriously one of the nicest guys I've met. At the Rock of Ages premiere, he spent time with EVERY journalist, answering all their questions. He was also the first one to show up on the red carpet, so that he had enough time to take pictures and sign autographs with his fans before talking to the press. While the cast was filing into the theater, Tom was still trying to talk to everyone. Great guy, and he also had the biggest smile the whole time. A true pro.

Gwen and Gavin - Nice. Kid is a terror.
Ben Stiller - Big ego.
Mila Kunis - Hotter in person.
Nicole Kidman - Giant. And slightly scary.
Paris Hilton - What I expected
Tobey Maguire - Kind of nuts about his diet and lifestyle.
George Clooney - Loves his women and booze. Nice and funny.

Alec Baldwin visited my school once. The whole time he acted like he didn't want to be there and was really rude. I think he was there because he was supposed to be a "positive role model" for us.

Tom Cruise, first thought he's short as fuck. Overall nice chatty guy I called him sir a bunch of times he told be one more sir and he was going to hit me, I nervously (this was like my first time seeing a major movie star) Yes sir, sorry sir Tom sir. He made like he was going to punch me laughed and gave me one of those shoulder pats.

When I was 11, I was at my local park when I found they were filming The Island, with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johanson. I waited outside of a fence which no one was around watching them film and Ewan came out and got my during the shoot, asked me if I wanted to come inside (the fence) to watch. I agreed and before he walked me in, he went to his car to get a pad and pen to write me a cool note. Aside from getting to hug Scarlett Johanson, Ewan McGregor really went out of his way to make that a memorable moment for the rest of my life. If you're out there Ewan, thank you.

Ashton Kutcher - Was kind of a tool. Didn't talk to anyone, just stood around with this shitty look on his face. Oh and he had on denim from head to toe and looked stupid. I mean denim hat, denim button up shit, denim vest over the denim shirt, denim jean and denim shoes.

Ryan Gosling - Was cool and could make a room full of ladies shut up at once just by walking in and burst into a frenzy of fevered whispers as he walks out.

Philip Seymour Hoffman - Was void of emotion and would only make eye contact with his fellow co-stars.

Sean Penn - Didn't talk to anyone and was locked in character.

Chris Prat - Was that funny kid at school who was cracking wise from the back of class.

他们拍摄Animal Rescue的时候，我在布鲁克林遇到了汤姆·哈迪，他的保镖告诉我们他非常乐于跟我们合照、签名，但是速度要快，因为他在工作。但是我遇到他之后，他尽可能地和我们多呆了一会儿，确保照顾到每个人。我把Bronson的DVD拿去了，但是他把名字签到CD上，然后他意识到了，说了Sorry，把DVD套取出来，在上面也签了名。还称呼我为Buddy。我简直要融化在里面了。真人很帅，很好的人。
I met Tom Hardy when he was filming Animal Rescue in Brooklyn. His security told us that he'd be more than happy to take photos/ autograph but it would have to be quick since he was working, but once I met the man he took as much time as he could to make sure everyone got some time with him. I brought my Bronson DVD and he signed the cd itself, which he realized and said sorry, but took out the sleeve and signed that as well. He also called me buddy, and I'm not ashamed to say I melted inside.
Mind you, this all happened on quite a cold day, and I had been waiting for hours. I was tired and chilled, but once he came out that all washed away. He's fucking handsome in person, and seriously a nice man all around.
