You came out publicly in 2012, and you handled it with so much grace and subtlety. These days, there’s a lot of pressure on Hollywoodactors to take that step. Where do you stand on the role of public Hollywood figures in terms of advancing the gay movement?
You know, it’s not my business to get up on a soapbox and tell people what theyshould and shouldn’t do. I think one thing that people don’t always take intoconsideration is a holistic aspect of what may or may not be going on in thatindividual’s life - you know, what kind of relationship they have with theirfamily, how the people around them feel about it. But for me, having kids andbeing married, it was important to maintain the integrity of those relationshipsand not teach my kids that this is a shameful secret and that my husband (SimonHalls) has to be waiting in the wings all the time. So that’s why it wasimportant to me personally. By the same token, I don’t hold anyone elseaccountable. It’s their choice.
WhichLady Gaga song could you see yourself stripping to?
Oh,you mean which one do I blast full volume in my car? I don’t know which one I’dstrip to, to be honest with you, but I definitely get down to “The Edge ofGlory” in my car and just geek out to it. If anyone saw me at a stop light, they would think I was crazy. I just let it fly in the car. I’ll do that.

Do youever watch that show “Broad City”? It’s everything. I’m so in love with thesetwo girls who are the leads, and one of them at one point finally gets theapartment to herself and she blasts “Edge of Glory” and just does a full-ondance around her apartment. I will straight up do the same thing at my housewhen I get, you know, two free seconds.
