The caption of the first photo: Paul & Joanne with a little girl in the 1962 Eleanor Roosevelt Cancer Foundation TV program. The one- hour telecast, featuring 15 top stars of the entertainment world, was presented by the Foundation as a salute to volunteers who were about to launch the educational & fund- raising Crusade.

In 1988, Paul Newman opened the first Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. The camp gives children battling serious medical conditions a chance to experience the fun and excitement of camp free of charge.
