Monty Python and Philosophy : Nudge Nudge, Think Think!
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/31843.Monty_Python_and_Philosophy
A collection of critiques on Monty Python*s works. Highly intellectual. I didn*t understand all of them due to lack of philosophical sophistication. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it A LOT! This is the ultimate book for Python nerds.
Everything I learned about philosophy I learned from Monty Python. Bye, Bruce.

Delusions of Gender : The Real Science Behind Sex Differences by Cordelia Fine
      https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8031168-delusions-of-gender
While this book is not without its flaws, it was written by a serious scientist in a very scholarly yet accesible and engaging way. Packed with experimental data, well-informed arguments and a bit of dry humour, Cordelia FIne conveyed some very important messages about gender. It also inspired me on a personal level.

Richard Dawkins at his best. A book that is worth re-reading. See review: http://book.douban.com/review/6596328/

A bit on the light side, just the right book to read when one wants something entertaining but not shallow.

THE book that converted me into a P.G. Wodehouse lover! I laughed so much while reading it.

Arguably the best P.G Wodehouse novel.

I love every Wodehouse book with Florence Craye in it. She*s funny! Her dynamics with Bertie Wooster is priceless. She also reminded me of myself in some respects. :p

I don*t like Matt Ridley*s political stance but I enjoyed his way of writing. Several of his books are extremely well-written, including this one and "The Red Queen: Sex and the Evolution of Human Nature".

The Epigenetics Revolution : How Modern Biology is Rewriting Our Understanding of Genetics, Disease and Inheritance by Nessa Carey
                      https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12414734-the-epigenetics-revolution
I call this book "the most informative book of the year 2014". It taught me A LOT on a previously poorly understood subject. Bonus credit for its enjoyableness and the author*s humour (although the biomedicine part is dense for a layman like me). I have high expectations for Nessa Carey*s new book.

As a half-illiterate ass, I probably haven*t much to say about such a grand, masterful and deep piece of literature. Anyway, it was such a challenge for me and surprisingly I enjoyed it and was totally enchanted (to the point that I dreamed about it!). Maybe I*m not quite as illiterate as I tend to think I am.

Another Nick Lane book and it is precious. At times, it can be too technical but this is not a bad thing as we need more hardcore pop science books like this one.
