Jennifer Love Hewitt makes Criminal Minds debut in new cast promo
Criminal Minds has debuted a new promo image featuring latest cast addition Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Hewitt - who features in Entertainment Weekly*s exclusive picture - will debut as new BAU recruit Kate Callahan in the long-running procedural*s 10th season.
The 35-year-old actress replaces Jeanne Tripplehorn (Dr Alex Blake) on the series, who in turn stepped in for Paget Brewster (Emily Prentiss) in 2012.
Criminal Minds showrunner Erica Messer said: "We*re thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Jennifer Love Hewitt to our amazing cast.
"Many of us on the show have enjoyed working with her over the years and look forward to again. We have exciting storylines planned for her character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 10th season."
Former Dawson*s Creek star Kerr Smith will also appear in the new season, playing a deranged killer who collects human limbs.
Criminal Minds returns to CBS on October 1. In the UK, the series airs on Sky Living.
