We apologize for the delay.
The Steam trading interface requires all trades to be confirmed multiple times before completion. We will be unable to recover any items/gifts that were traded.
Before accepting the trade, it is the user's responsibility to verify that the contents of the trade are accurate and that the trade partner is the correct user.
If scammers are encountered in the future, please report them through their Steam Community profile. To do so, click the 'More' drop down, select 'Report Violation', and choose 'Attempted Trade Scam'. All reports made are investigated by Steam Support.
Steam Support discourages the following types of trades, as they cannot be guaranteed by the Steam trading interface:
- Trades involving money/PayPal outside of the Steam Community Market
- Trades involving CD keys or Wallet codes
- Trading items and expecting them to be returned to you through a verbal agreement
- Trading items/gifts for nothing in return in the first trade and expecting to get an item or gift in a later trade
