Chapter 1（第一章）

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.（起初，上帝创造了天地）

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.（那时，大地一片混沌空虚，深渊一片黑暗，圣灵就停浮在水面）

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.（上帝说，“要有光”。然后，世界就有了光）

God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.（上帝看光是好的，然后他就光从黑暗里分开出来）

God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.（上帝把光称作“昼”，把黑暗称作“夜”，然后有晚上，有早上，这样就是第一天）

And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."（上帝说，把水分开让水之间有一个空间）

So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.（然后上帝就创造了空间，把水分一半在下，分一半在上）

God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning--the second day.（上帝称这个空间为“天”，然后又一个夜晚，一个早晨，这就是第二天）

And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.（上帝说，让天空下面的水聚集在一个地方，让干旱的土地出现。然后，就这样成了）

God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good.（上帝把干旱的土地称为“陆地”，把聚集起来的水称为“海洋”。上帝看到这样觉得很好）

Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.（接着上帝说，让大地生长植物，会结种子的植物和树木，根据不同的种类，结出各种带有种子的果实。然后，就这样成了）

The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.（大地长出植物：植物根据它们的种类结出不同的种*和谐*子，树木根据它们的种类结出带有种*和谐*子的果实。上帝看到这样，觉得很好）

And there was evening, and there was morning--the third day.（这样又一个夜晚，一个早晨，这就是第三天）
