"Adam and I have a bunch of mutual friends and had been orbiting each other for a while. It was at a friend’s Halloween party where we finally got to talking. He told me about the script and a month later we did a reading of the first two episodes. Most of the actors in that reading ended up being in the show, including Tommy. (Side note: Tommy and I had done some trippy downtown theater together earlier that year and it was an absolute delight to see him there. One of the many reasons I adore NYC)
I loved the script but wanted to make sure it was something that was going to LOOK and SOUND great. A lot of web content is hastily thrown together which is really a bummer. There are so many great writers out there but if the project has bad sound or looks cheap, I’ll just turn it off. I didn’t want to be apart of something that I wouldn’t enjoy watching myself. Once Adam secured Jay (our fabulous D.P.) we all got a drink and starting talking about the look and feel of the show. Ideas and whiskeys were flowing and I knew I’d like working with these guys. Within a couple weeks we shot the first episode. And at the time, that was all any of us had committed too. We all had busy schedules and had no idea the amount of positive feedback that lay ahead. After the second episode was up blogs started to repost us and it wasn’t just our friends on facebook watching anymore. At that point we knew we were on the right track and kept going.”
