TAYLOR SWIFT, ‘SWEETER THAN FICTION’ – SONG REVIEWby Jessica Sager October 20, 2013 8:05 PM
Taylor Swift is aiming for ’80s pop with ‘Sweeter Than Fiction,’ her contribution to the ‘One Chance’ soundtrack co-written with fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff. But does it work?
Yes. And it works beautifully.
TS这首歌着眼于这首80年代的流行,她和Fun.乐队的吉他手Jack Antonoff的合作非常棒
The production is reminiscent of Brat Pack classics like OMD’s ‘If You Leave’ and the Cure’s ‘Friday I’m in Love,’ but in terms of her own previous work, Swift’s sugary offering is most akin to her ‘Red’ track ‘State of Grace,’ with its electric guitars, infectious melody and heartfelt, optimistic lyrics. In ‘Sweeter Than Fiction’ Swift encourages a down on his luck love, singing, “I’ll be one of the many saying / Look at you now, look at you now, now / I’ll be one of the many saying / Look at you now, look at you now, now / I’ll be one of the many saying you’ve made us proud, you’ve made us proud.”
(这段有些名词略专业我就不翻译了,大体来说就是这首歌的制作走复古流行风,类比了下Sta
